Are you an experienced sales professional with proven leadership skills? We are seeking a dedicated Internal Sales - Team Manager to oversee and develop a high-performing team within the financial services sector (intermediary sales is required). In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coaching a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Business Development Associates (BDAs), driving strategic sales initiatives, ensuring accurate data management in Salesforce, and fostering a proactive, client-focused sales culture. Your leadership will ensure the team meets KPIs, executes campaigns effectively, and collaborates seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders to optimise adviser coverage and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Line management and coaching of BDMs/BDAs to optimise performance and professional development
- Setting and monitoring KPIs aligned with business targets, utilising Salesforce dashboards for tracking
- Implementing and managing sales campaigns in line with strategic directives, ensuring consistent execution
- Maintaining Salesforce hygiene, accurate data entry, and pipeline tracking
- Providing regular performance reports, identifying underperformance early, and implementing improvement plans
- Collaborating with external advisers, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders to support cohesive sales initiatives
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Leading peer knowledge sharing and supporting internal webinars, events, and campaigns
Requirements
- Proven experience managing sales teams, ideally within financial services
- Strong understanding of adviser sales processes and intermediated distribution channels
- Exceptional coaching, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage performance, hold difficult conversations, and drive results
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools for data management and reporting
- A proactive, supportive leadership style with a focus on team development and collaboration
