We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Internal Business Development Manager to join a dynamic alternative investment management company spec. As a vital part of their sales team, the successful candidate will serve as the initial point of contact for financial advisers, supporting the growth of key relationships through outbound and inbound communication, appointment setting, and excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound telephone and video calls to develop and enhance existing Financial Adviser relationships, collaborating closely with the Senior Business Development Manager.
- Handle inbound queries from Financial Advisers, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Research companies and book meetings for external Business Development Managers, supporting their outreach efforts.
- Provide exemplary customer service, including timely follow-ups after meetings.
- Implement and support new sales and marketing campaigns to increase business volume and meet sales targets.
- Maintain and utilise CRM systems effectively to track activities and opportunities.
- Leverage financial data tools to assist in targeting prospective clients.
- Build and nurture new relationships with potential supporters and advisers.
- Coordinate face-to-face meetings where appropriate, assisting with logistics and preparations.
Requirements
- Experience working within a financial services environment, with a focus on sales or relationship management.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with CRM systems and account management databases.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional and articulate manner.
- Ability to work effectively towards challenging call and sales targets.
- Ideally holds a graduate qualification or financial planning certification (or equivalent).
- Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
