About the Role
Our Dubai based client is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead their Commercial Lines in their General Insurance division. This pivotal role involves providing strategic direction, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our diverse client base, which includes independent businesses, SMEs, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with executive leadership to design and implement strategies aimed at business growth and market expansion.

Team Management: Supervise and mentor the Commercial Lines team, fostering a high-performance culture through effective performance management and coaching.

Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with tailored solutions.

Operational Oversight: Ensure the team's adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), particularly in policy renewals, claims processing, endorsements, and premium collections.

Process Improvement: Utilise workflows and processes to maintain client contact, update coverages, review exposures, and identify opportunities for account management.

Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all activities comply with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Business Development: Leverage existing networks to build the Commercial Lines portfolio, supporting consultants and producers in client acquisition and retention.
Qualifications and Experience

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within Commercial Lines Insurance, with a focus on underwriting, coverage analysis, policy implementation, and claims management.

Knowledge: In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and the ability to communicate this knowledge effectively to staff, clients, and underwriters.

Skills: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), strong multitasking abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Certifications: Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certification or equivalent in General Insurance is mandatory.
